What am I falling for this summer...

There is a book called One Thousand Gifts, by Ann Voskamp. It is about a woman, wrestling with things in her life that are hard, but in the midst of it creating a list of all the things she is thankful for. When thinking about summer, there are so many things I love about it. So while it is hot and at times boring, every summer I can't help but be thankful for the following:

Ice Cold Watermelon

Sleeping in late

Kids giggling at all hours of the day

Swimming Pools

Bike Rides

Evening Walks

Matt comes home earlier

Weekends void of commitments

Sleepovers

Late night movies on the couch

Visiting relatives

Road Trips

A summer rain

A strong breeze in the evening but it is warm

The sound of sprinklers going off at night

The sound of a bug zapper

Hot Dogs

Shaved Ice with creme

No agenda

Thankful for being bored sometimes

Summer Blockbuster Movies

Walking outside from a cold building to warm air

Flip-Flops

Hahaha - you two are things I find lovely and exceptional in my day... and you are my only two followers which is actually fine with me. I hope your day is filled with smiles and sunshine... getting my haircut today - tired of looking like a Housewives of Dallas with the long hair - going a bit shorter with a bob... will send pics.
